Flashing Red
Report 9/11 Benghazi

We are more than four months out from the deplorable criminal negligence of the United States Department of State and tangentially the Obama administration that directly lead to the killing of our Ambassador, Chris Stevens together with three other brave diplomatic representatives of the United States Sean Smith, Glen Doherty & Ty Woods in an attack on the 11th Anniversary of 9/11 that took place in Benghazi, Libya.

Many facts of the Benghazi attack have been hidden from the American people since it occurred through the obfuscation, misinformation and a coordinated coverup by those in the current administration, namely Department of State representatives Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice, Victoria Nuland as well as President Barack Obama and his press secretary Jay Carney among others ... the list is long and the further down the list the more likely you will find a lackey.

On December 30, 2012 the United States Senate Coommittee On Homeland Security And Government Affairs released scathing findings regarding the Benghazi Attack titled "Flashing Red: A Special Report On The Terrorist Attack At Benghazi" by Joseph I. Lieberman, Chairman and Susan M. Collins, Ranking Member.   Within this report there are 10 "Findings" quoted in part (highlights by Michael4Tune) as follows:
  1. In the months leading up to the attack on the Temporary Mission Facility in Benghazi, there was a large amount of evidence gathered by the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) ... that Benghazi was increasingly dangerous and unstable, ... a significant attack against American personnel there was becoming much more likely.
  2. ... the U.S. government did not have specific intelligence of an imminent attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi. The lack of such actionable intelligence may reflect a failure in the IC to focus sufficiently on terrorist groups ...
  3. The absence of specific intelligence about an imminent attack should not have prevented the Department of State from taking more effective steps to protect its personnel and facilities in Benghazi.
  4. Prior to the terrorist attacks ... it was widely understood that the Libyan government was incapable of performing its duty to protect U.S. diplomatic facilities and personnel, as required by longstanding international agreements, but the Department of State failed to take adequate steps to fill the resulting security gap ...
  5. The Benghazi facility’s temporary status had a detrimental effect on security decisions, and that fact was clearly known by DS personnel in Benghazi and to their superiors who nevertheless left the American personnel in Benghazi in this very dangerous situation. The Department of State did not take adequate measures to mitigate the facility’s significant vulnerabilities in this high-threat environment.
  6. The Department of State did not adequately support security requests from its own security personnel in Benghazi.
  7. Despite the inability of the Libyan government to fulfill its duties to secure the facility, the increasingly dangerous threat assessments, and a particularly vulnerable facility, the Department of State officials did not conclude the facility in Benghazi should be closed or temporarily shut down. That was a grievous mistake.
  8. The Department of Defense and the Department of State had not jointly assessed the availability of U.S. assets to support the Temporary Mission Facility in Benghazi in the event of a crisis and although DOD attempted to quickly mobilize its resources, it did not have assets or personnel close enough to reach Benghazi in a timely fashion.
  9. Although the September 11, 2012 attack in Benghazi was recognized as a terrorist attack by the Intelligence Community and personnel at the Department of State from the beginning, Administration officials were inconsistent in stating publicly that the deaths in Benghazi were the result of a terrorist attack.
  10. As discussed earlier, the talking points about the September 11th attack in Benghazi which were issued by the Intelligence Community on September 14th in response to a request by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, were the subject of much of the confusion and division in the discussion of the attack. That confusion and division were intensified by the fact that the talking points were issued before the IC had a high degree of confidence about what happened in Benghazi and in the midst of a national political campaign.

After all is said and done we still do not have anyone answering directly for this debacle.  Department of State attempted to assuage anger by what appears to be phony resignations and re-assignments within the department ... only to find that the parties involved were changing desks.  Hardly the type of result the killing of 4 American patriots should garner.  Eric Boswell and Charlene Lamb were two of the "musical desks" players.  This is our Department of State's version of "Heads will roll" ... NOT.  Very little doubt in this blogger's mind that somewhere in this mess Hillary Clinton and the ever micro-manager of foreign affairs, Barack Obama, had serious input in the creation of this SNAFU.  Somewhere along the line you may have read or heard that Republicans "slashed" the security budget for Department of State ... well the fact is the DoS requested $2.1 Billion and Congress approved $1.9 Billion and change for the 2012 year ... not exactly a pittance.  yet Slick Hilly has enough money to start a "U.S. Celebrity Chefs World Tour" initiative ... now there is a worthy endeavor for our Department of State to sink its teeth into.

So here we are four months after the attack and Slick Hilly along with BHO have prevaricated their way 'round the Benghazi tragedy, including Hillary telling Ty Woods father at the Transfer of Remains Ceremony, "We are going to get that YouTube Video creator ..." and BHO telling the United Nations about the YouTube causality ... all such deliberate coverup actions ... they should be ashamed either for their continuing coverup or just plain incompetence for not knowing what was really happening.
American Citizens should call for a Special Select House Committee to bring the real operators in this malfeasance to justice.  I know one thing ... Richard Nixon was impeached for aiding the coverup of a fifth rate burglary that was political in the nature of intent ... Nixon should have been impeached ... he was not a nice man and neurotic if you listen to Henry Kissinger.  That being said, we have experienced four American patriots murdered senselessly ... it should have been avoided.  One of the men was our Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens ... that in and of itself is an attack on America.  Our President and Secretary of State have never answered questions transparently concerning the Benghazi 9/11 Terrorist Attack and show no signs they intend to ... it is now time to compel those answers in a formal Senate Select Committee hearing from the principals.

Keep Benghazi Alive ...
