Benghazi Synopsis 2011 to 01 December 2012
Important aspects of US State Department involvement in Benghazi have not been mentioned in main stream media (MSM) or otherwise in my observations. The details might be lynchpins to the sordid debacle taking place on the 11th Anniversary of 9/11 at the US Consulate and State Department Annex located in Benghazi, Libya. These 2 sites were quite proximate, about 1 mile apart. Pay close attention to Hillary Clinton's commitment of $40 million to recover weapons in Libya and the deployment of a MANPADS Task Force to Benghazi in 2011. With that background in place my observation and scenario takes a KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) form below.
In 2011 the U.S. State Department commits $40 million to the recovery of shoulder to air, heat seeking missiles, known as MANPADS (Man-Portable-Air-Defense-Systems) in Libya and a MANPAD Task Force is sent to set up shop in Benghazi, Libya for the purpose of buying back MANPADS and all other military grade weapons. This Task Force would include both expert military and civilian members who would work both independently as well as with NGO (Non Governmental Organizations) and the TNC (Transitional National Council-Libya) in an around Benghazi to recover weapons. As the dollars for arms project becomes known in Benghazi, militant AQ (al-Qaeda) type jihadists suspect the presence of huge sums of cash and weapons in the annex as well as consulate (which is merely a house without fortification and out buildings) ... both become future targets of the AQ type jihadist plans. Some will say our Department of State kept security deliberately low to hide the real reason we were there ... negative ... the weapon buy-back op by its very nature demanded NGO, TNC and local knowledge of operation. Those islamic terrorists planned and chose to attack the consulate and annex on the 11th Anniversary of 9/11 to achieve three things; secure cash, secure weapons and drive the infidels out of Benghazi. There was no connection to unknown and unseen YouTube short … more on that Department of State/Obama minion fantasy later.
Months prior to the attack on 9/11 Ambassador Chris Stevens began sending a series of missives to U.S. Department of State outlining deteriorating security conditions, with AQ flags flying in multiple locations across Benghazi as well as bombings at British Embassy and Red Cross HQ. England shuttered their embassy and left Benghazi in summer 2012 and so did the Red Cross. Given the facts that a U.S. MANPADS Task Force had been securing weapons for cash in one of the most volatile terrorist zones in the world for many months and our consulate and annex locations were "sitting ducks", the Obama appointed U.S. Department of State officials chose to cut back security at those locations in late summer 2012. Those same officials, whether joined by CIA operatives or not, in a direct dereliction of duty, failed to perform one of two prudent actions, namely, extract our men in Benghazi or order superior force on hand and ready to protect our men in Benghazi in the event of an attack. The assets necessary to protect were available in Sigonella NAS Italy ... with fast movers an hour flight time away with ready alert orders or in the region already with planned overlapping surveillance missions … don't mention cost … birds fly daily.
Once the attack is underway on 9/11 those same U.S. Department of State Officials, who were in contact directly at or with the White House staff, in response to our men fighting to the death in Benghazi requesting support in a battle that took 11 hours ... told those men "Wait". Keep in mind, when alert sent from Benghazi, U.S. Army Africa Command (AFRICOM) would have immediately notified watch desk at White House of Ambassador in peril ... the watch desk command would then relay to highest command present for notification to POTUS. The White House knew what was happening without doubt. While mortars were raining and even targeted by our laser designators … those taking fire were told, "Wait". The response "Wait" was mentioned by Congressman Rogers (MI) from subsequent records he saw in Intelligence Committee. You have heard a good percentage of the debacle from this point on I would surmise. Amb. Chris Stevens is near death at the consulate and later dies, Sean Smith also killed ... Ty Woods and Glen Doherty fight valiantly however fatally wounded in mortar attacks at annex where support was requested urgently, often ... yet denied.
There was no plan in place to extract or protect our men in Benghazi and that is the cornerstone of the ensuing debacle. Subsequently, to protect from backlash and criticism for this failure, President Obama's various cabinet members and staffs … that could include U.S. Department of State officials, White House, CIA and possibly even campaign ... pivot from the real facts known about Benghazi and use a barely known YouTube short that had been cobbled from an almost unseen failed film made in early 2011 to use as their canard … and use it they did from TV to United Nations by POTUS two weeks post attack. Actually the widest release of the YouTube video short was from Obama staff cobbling their own video apology by BHO & Hillary Clinton then purchasing ad space on Pakistan TV and social media. By that act Obama minions made certain the video had some exposure.. Everything was done to disinform, obfuscate and divert attention from Obama StateDept failure to extract or protect our men in Benghazi. This coverup was all done to protect the posterior of the one who had the most to lose … Barack Hussein Obama in the 2012 Presidential election less than 60 days away. Disrespectfully the very next morning Obama boarded Air Force 1 destined for Las Vegas and a fund raising event for his re-election. President Obama finds it offensive that anyone questions his, or his minions, actions or motives. A rather imperious attitude with 4 dead Americans and failed foreign policy.
Epilogue: Through all the cover-up with Susan Rice's performances and protestations would you not think she knew of the U.S. Department of State MANPADS Task Force sent to Benghazi in 2011 with a $40 million commitment to recover weapons? Everybody in State, CIA, and of course President Obama knew of the real reasons Benghazi became a target. The despicable aspect is they were all too arrogant and carried their ideology to such an extreme they believed their philosophy would win the day. In Benghazi the whole Obama second banana bunch performed in naive and derelict fashion … they should answer for their failures and coverup. We do not know if the terrorists achieved their goals of the 9/11 Benghazi attacks … did they secure MANPADS, money or weapons … unknown at this point … we do know that due the negligence of our leaders 4 brave Americans doing their duty are dead and the Benghazi operation destroyed.
